Bacteria are the major cause of ocular infections around the world.Infection may either be due to single microbe or polymicrobial and is mostlyassociated with factors like age, contact lens usage, trauma, surgery, poorocular hygiene or any prior ocular pathology [1]. Ocular infections manifestcommonly in the form of blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, endophthalmitis, orbital cellulitis or dacryocystitis [2]. The source of eyeinfection may be exogenous which is the most common mode orendogenous invasion of the micro-organisms which can be carried in thebloodstream. External or exogenous bacterial infection of the eye are usuallylocalised to some extent or may spread to the adjacent tissues.
