Supramolecular chemistry refers to the realm of chemistry regarding chemical systems composed of a separate range of molecules. The strength of the forces accountable for special organization of the system vary from weak unit forces, electric charge, or gas bonding to robust valence bonding, given that the electronic coupling strength remains tiny relative to the energy parameters of the part.
Whereas ancient chemistry concentrates on the chemical bond, supramolecular chemistry examines the weaker and reversible noncovalent interactions between molecules. These forces embrace gas bonding, metal coordination, hydrophobic forces, van der Waals forces, pi–pi interactions and static effects.
